Placerville, CA…Russell Motorsports Inc. has announced that the championship weekly opener scheduled for Saturday at Placerville Speedway has been canceled due to the impending storm.
With a 90% chance of rain tomorrow, coupled with the cost of travel for teams and fans, the decision was made in the best interest of everyone to call off tomorrows event.
“This forecast keeps getting worse and we know how much fuel is at the moment, so we wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible to save some expense,” commented Promoter Scott Russell. “We look forward to seeing everyone next week at the Sprint Car Challenge Tour opener.”
Placerville Speedway will now kick-off the 2022 season with the Spring Fever Frenzy on Saturday March 26th featuring the Sprint Car Challenge Tour, the USAC Western States Midgets and BCRA Lightning Sprints.
