Placerville, CA – May 12, 2021…The annual “Bryan Carnett Clash” is routinely one of the largest nights of the season for the Ltd. Late Model and Pure Stock divisions at Placerville Speedway.
Russell Motorsports Inc. is happy to announce the event coming up on Saturday June 26th will showcase extra money on the line for each class. The Ltd. Late Models will be vying for $2,000-to-win the feature, while the Pure Stock main event will hand out $1,000 to the winner.
The additional money is up for grabs due to the graciousness of several companies including Ford’s Only, Murphy’s Concrete, Street to Sand Off-Road and Performance, Lightfoot Automotive and Dirt Solution.
The event is held in honor of Bryan Carnett, who was a true fan of the stock car divisions at Placerville Speedway while racing, owning and sponsoring both Pure Stocks and Limited Late Models throughout the decade that he spent at the track.
“I am thrilled Placerville Speedway continues to host the Bryan Carnett Memorial race in honor of my father,” said Forryst Carnett, racecar driver and son of the late Bryan Carnett. With the significant increase in the payout, we are hoping for a great car count and an exciting night of racing, which is the best way to remember my dad. I am very grateful to everyone who has donated the prize money to make this night a reality.”
In total there will be five divisions on hand for the annual Carnett Clash. Along with the Ltd. Late Models and Pure Stocks the track will also host Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Dwarf Cars and the Vintage Hard Tops.
“We are excited to put on the Carnett Clash once again here at Placerville Speedway in June,” commented track Promoter Scott Russell. “With offering up $2,000-to-win with the Ltd. Late Models and $1,000-to-win the Pure Stocks we hope to see a strong car count in both. Mark your calendars for June 26th and make sure to spread the word to your fellow teams.”
