Placerville Speedway welcomes PJ Petersen to the media team for 2019 season

Placerville, CA – March 12, 2019…As we continue to creep closer to opening night, the Placerville Speedway is excited to announce that it is welcoming media specialist PJ Petersen to the team for the upcoming 2019 season.

Petersen, the owner and proprietor of well-known Northern California based company Petersen Media, will be handling victory lane interviews and infield reporting during events, as well as adding social media content.

“We look forward to adding PJ and his talents to our team this season at the speedway,” commented Russell Motorsports Inc. President Scott Russell. “We feel that he will be a valuable asset and will help connect all our fans with the teams that compete at Placerville Speedway each week. We are building a great team here at the track and can’t wait to get the season started.”

Petersen also spoke about joining the Placerville Speedway this season. “I’m really thankful and excited to join the RMI team and go to work at Placerville Speedway. Growing up I spent a lot of time at the track, so it’s awesome to be able to get back up there on a weekly basis in 2019. Scott and Kami have done some really cool things since they took over operations four years ago and the season ahead looks to be a fun one. It’s going to be great with the World of Outlaws, USAC National Midgets, the King of the West Series and the Sprint Car Challenge Tour each making headline appearances to compliment a full variety of weekly racing.”

The 2019 Placerville Speedway season opens with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series making their annual appearance for the 49er Gold Rush Classic presented by Riebes NAPA Auto Parts on Saturday March 23rd. With the Saturday date coming open it marks the first time that the event will be held on a weekend. Also competing at the much-anticipated show will be the Elk Grove Ford Midgets.
