Final point race of 2017 at Placerville Speedway up next this Saturday
Final Red Hawk Casino championship point race of 2017 on tap this Saturday September 16 at Placerville Speedway
-- Placerville, CA - September 11, 2017...This Saturday September 16 the Placerville Speedway will put a wrap on the Red Hawk Casino championship season. The Thompson’s Auto Group Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Ltd. Late Models, Pure Stocks, NCDCA Dwarf Cars and Vintage Hard Tops will all be on hand.
The evening will also double as the second annual Bryan Carnett Memorial, with extra money on the line for the Ltd. Late Models and Pure Stocks. Carnett was a true fan of the stock car divisions at Placerville Speedway, racing and sponsoring both Pure Stocks and Limited Late Models throughout the decade he spent at the track.
“Placerville Speedway has always been our home track and I am thrilled that Scott Russell was willing to host the Bryan Carnett Memorial Race for the second year," said Forryst Carnett racecar driver and son of the late Bryan Carnett. "I am hoping we can build upon the success of last year and have another exciting night of racing, which is the best way to remember the competitive spirit of my dad. I am very grateful to Placerville Speedway, all of our friends at the track, and my family who all worked to make this night a reality."
Steven Tiner, Matt Michelli and Jason Palmer go into championship night leading their respective divisions and will look to wrap up titles on Saturday. The event is also the start of the final three week's of racing at the Placerville Speedway this season. Following Saturday the quarter-mile will host the Nor-Cal Posse Shootout on September 21, 21 and 23 and then the Tilford Classic on September 30.
