Short Track Outlaw Showdown at Placerville Speedway is Approaching Fast

Placerville Short Track Outlaw Showdown Presented by Riebes Auto Parts

PLACERVILLE, CA – In just one week the greatest show on dirt, The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series, is set to invade the high banked, lightening quick quarter-mile dirt oval know as Placerville Speedway. The third annual Brad Sweet’s Placerville Short Track Outlaw Showdown presented by Riebes Auto parts is scheduled for Wednesday night, March 29th, and will feature the greatest sprint car drivers in the world battling it out for the $10,000 check presented to the night’s main event winner. Previous winners of this event include eight-time Word of Outlaw champion Donny Schatz of Fargo, North Dakota and Jason Johnson of Eunice, Louisiana. Not only is current NASCAR point leader Kyle Larson set to race in the event, but he along with Rico Abreu and Brad Sweet will be signing autographs between Noon and 1 PM at the Placerville Riebes Auto Parts store located at 2885 Ray Lawyer Drive. The autograph session is scheduled for the same day of the race on March 29th. General admission for Kids 11 and under is just $20.00. As with last year, Sweet and his team will bring in extra seating for the pit area. Reserved grandstand tickets are going fast so make sure you visit https://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/ordertickets.asp?p=741&backurl=default.asp to pick some up before they are all gone. Reserved tickets are $45 per seat. Fans can purchase pit passes and general admission seating on the day of the event but those seats are all first come first serve. Tickets and will call booth will open at 2 PM. Pit gate opens at 2 PM. Grandstands open at 3 PM with sprint car qualifying slated to begin at 6:30 PM. Happy Hour featuring Coors and Coors Light will be available in the concession area from 4-6 PM. Joining the World of Outlaws on Wednesday night are the popular Light up the World Beverages USAC Western State Midgets. Four-time and defending champion Ronnie Gardner of Corona, CA won the first race of the season back on March 11th at Bakersfield Speedway and will be the driver to beat. Gardner won the main event at last year’s Placerville event.
