Three drivers big home extra cash during US Army, Gold County
Limo July Fourth event
In celebration of Independence Day, racing moved to Friday night at
Placerville Speedway with four divisions of racing under for the 10th championship point race of the season. For the
first time in track history, the annual holiday affair featured additional sponsorship winning in all three of the
regular divisions, courtesy of Gold Country Limousines and the U.S. Army.

Placerville Police Officers seek entries for 35th annual
Destruction Derby
On Sunday, August 17, smashing, crashing and total destruction will be the name of the
game at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds as the Placerville Police Officers Association presents the 35th annual
Hangtown Destruction Derby at Placerville Speedway. This annual event that benefits local charities will take place
in conjunction with "Morrison Concrete Kids Night" at Placerville Speedway on the eve of the event, Saturday August
16.

Four divisions compete Friday in festivity filled family event followed by fireworks
For decades it has been a race that past winners admit is simply "special" on their list
of accomplishments. It takes place on Independence Day, historically before the season's largest crowd and now,
extra winnings are at stake for Placerville Speedway's "Race for Freedom July Fourth Spectacular."

Placerville Speedway signs July 4th sponsorship from US Army,
Gold Country Limousines
For the first time in track history, the annual Fourth of July event at Placerville
Speedway will carry a title sponsor for the special night of racing on the Independence Day Holiday. The US ARMY and
Gold Country Limousines, announced today that they will be adding an additional $1400 to the nightly winnings for
the event.

Forsberg takes home more bonus cash in Placerville "Specialized
Parts Planet" Night
During the 2008 racing season Placerville Speedway has hosted a
total of six community sponsorship nights, awarding bonus winnings to the feature event winners under the
sponsorship of area business. After Saturday night, Auburn driver Andy Forsberg has claimed four of those lucrative
victories and a total of five overall wins at the track he calls home.

This Saturday night, bonus winnings are up for grabs at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds
as Placerville Speedway presents "Specialized Parts Planet Night" and the 10th championship point race of the
season. Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Pro Stocks, Pure Stocks and Midget Lites of the Bay Cities Racing Association will
form the four division program.

Tilford scores fourth Pure Stock feature win; Simas gets first
Placerville in wingless
Early in the season, Tom Tilford of Citrus Heights didn't really know what the future
held in the way of Pure Stock racing at Placerville Speedway. With a lack of work taking its toll on his financial
situation, his #92 Pure Stock was parked for several weeks early in the season, his brother Jon was busy with a new
baby girl and time for everyone had become limited. Since that time, things have turned around for Tilford and
Saturday night he drove to his fourth victory of the 2008 racing season.

Forsberg wins $2000 on Golden One Credit Union Night at
Placerville Speedway
So far this season, Placerville Speedway has had five different
bonus nights with extra cash up for grabs for the feature winner. After Saturday night, Auburn's Andy Forsberg has

Tim Kaeding leads all 30 laps for Placerville win on NMI
Industrial Night
A night after Tyler Walker became the first driver to
win three Golden State Challenge Series main events on the season San Jose’s Tim Kaeding came back and joined him
atop the board with a convincing 30 lap victory on Saturday night during NMI Industrial Contractors Night at the
Placerville Speedway.

Wiesz continues to rule Placerville point standings with second
feature win of the year
Colby Wiesz of Colfax increased his early season point lead Saturday night at
Placerville Speedway with his second feature win of the season in the 2008 New Car Dealers of El Dorado County,
Hoosier Racing Tires, Coors Light championship campaign. Wiesz was joined in victory lane during the seventh championship event of the season
by several northeast neighbors including Pro Stock winner Dan Brown Jr. of Nevada City, Pure Stock winner Mike McClure
of Nevada City and Daniel Weger of Grass Valley .
