by Bill Sullivan

PLACERVILLE, CA (6-18-08) - For the first time in track history, the annual Fourth of July event at Placerville Speedway will carry a title sponsor for the special night of racing on the Independence Day Holiday. The US ARMY and Gold Country Limousines, announced today that they will be adding an additional $1400 to the nightly winnings for the event.

At this time the Sprint feature will pay $2000 to win and both stock car classes will receive bonus winnings as well. The break down will pass further down the line and will be announced in the coming days. The event will feature special opening ceremonies with the assistance of the US Army which will later be disclosed. The US Army will bring some 100 spouses and families of soldiers currently deployed over seas to the event that is being bannered as the inaugural Placerville Speedway "Race to Freedom" presented by the US Army and Gold Country Limousines.

"The Fourth of July is a special night for everyone at Placerville Speedway, for years this race has been all about family tradition in a small town," said Bill Sullivan, Director of Communications for John Padjen Motorsports Inc. "We are extremely proud to partner with the US Army and Gold Country Limo to make this race a very memorable night in honor of our men and women of the Armed Forces."

Additional details and payout for this event will be announced in the coming weeks, mark your calendars for Friday, July 4th and celebrate Independence Day with John Padjen Motorsports, the US Army and Gold Country Limousines at Placerville Speedway.

We would like to thank Frank Vilt of Gold Country Limo for his assistance in acquiring this special sponsorship and we look forward to working with him and the US Army for a very special night of racing at Placerville Speedway.
