Bishop drives to first career Civil War win during inaugural event at American Valley Speedway
Since the start of the 2008 racing season, one of the most anticipated events of the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series was the inaugural event at the scenic American Valley Speedway in Quincy, California. Saturday night, the long awaited night came for area drivers and racing fans when the competitive traveling series for winged 360 sprint cars brought 38 entrants to California's second biggest dirt track and new face to victory lane.

Civil War Series makes first ever appearance at Quincy's American Valley Speedway
Last Saturday they competed on California's largest track in the annual Calistoga Cup and this week they will take to the second largest track in Northern California, the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Cars are bound for the high country as they make their debut at the American Valley Speedway in Quincy.

Tyler Walker Claims victory in crash marred Calistoga Cup
Sean Becker left a crack in the door to victory circle and Tyler Walker kicked it wide open to take home the Calistoga Cup in the Civil War sprint car series Saturday night. After pulling away from the field for the first five laps from the pole on the Calistoga Speedway half mile oval, Becker faltered on a restart, giving Walker a chance to get a run on him. After stalking Becker for a lap, Walker, who started the race from the outside of the front row, made a high speed dive underneath him in turns three and four to grab the lead that he would hold to the checkered flag of the 20 lap event.

Larson holds off Kaeding for Civil War victory at Silver Dollar Speedway
The fire breathing sprint cars of the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Sprint Car Series converged at Silver Dollar Speedway, Sunday, May 25 to compete beneath the colorful back drop of the annual Silver Dollar Fair. The event marked the fourth event of the 15 race Civil War series and marked the first of three visits to the Chico speedway this season.

Robinson returns to victory in most heroic fashion, winning the Tribute to Al Hinds
Fifth annual event draws record, standing room only crowd to El Dorado Fairground
Since the start of the 2008 racing season, David Robinson Jr. of Foresthill has been eager to return to the victory circle at Placerville Speedway. The former two time Civil War and Placerville Speedway track champion has led a number of events but victory continued to elude him as he returned from a two-year hiatus from the sport.

Hirst takes Civil War opener in Placerville’s Wild Winged Wednesday
Elk Grove’s Kyle Hirst became the first winner of the 2008 Hoosier Tires Civil War Series at Placerville Speedway during the special “Wild Winged Wednesday” event that undoubtedly lived up to its name. Aboard the GP Development #6 sprint car, Hirst bested a 42 car field in an event that was the survival of the fittest with a dozen different cars going upside down throughout the night.
