PLACERVILLE, CA (2-27-13) - The management of Placerville Speedway has announced that season passes for the 2013 racing season are now on sale through the office of Handy Racing Promotions. Race fans can save significantly by purchasing a season pass prior to May 1st.

"We want to offer a savings to those fans that choose to support us all season long by discounting our season passes," said Alan Handy, promoter of Placerville Speedway. "By ordering early we can offer savings and at the same time offer the convenience for race fans to avoid waiting in long lines to purchase tickets every night."

By purchasing a season pass now, race fans will save 20 percent off the regular ticket price at Placerville Speedway. Season passes are good for all regular events at Placerville Speedway, excluding grandstand events during the El Dorado County Fair and the annual Placerville Police Officers Destruction Derby.

For a limited time only, season passes will be available for the following discounted prices. These special prices will only last until May 1st so race fans are urged to place their order by calling the office of Handy Racing Promotions at 916-783-3478.

The current discount prices for adults will be $254. Senior passes will be $214. Junior passes are $201 and passes for children are current discounted to $96.00.

Under the title sponsorship of the Red Hawk Casino-Hoosier Racing Tires-Coors Light and Pepsi Cola, the 2013 season opener at Placerville Speedway is rapidly approaching. The first night of action will be March 30th for a test and tune event for all divisions. This play date will allow drivers to prepare for the competitive racing season ahead that offers something for every type of race fan this year.

The Fast and Furious Dirt Track Racing Championship campaign will begin on Saturday night, April 6th for 360 cubic inch powered sprint cars, Limited Late Models and Pure Stocks. The three track regulars will routinely be joined throughout the year by a variety of guest divisions to make for a four division program on the majority of race nights at the bullring.

The 2013 racing season offers a number of special events and visiting divisions including the King of the West Sprint Cars, the Civil War Sprint Car Series, the ASCS National Tour, the 40th anniversary edition of the Placerville Police Officers Destruction Derby and more.
