PLACERVILLE, CA (7-25-10) - This Saturday, July 31st Placerville Speedway will host the annual Tribute to Al Hinds Civil War Event that is $3000 to win courtesy of the continued sponsorship of Family Auto Star in nearby Shingle Springs.

Once again this year, Family Auto Center will be hosting a huge racer and race fan BBQ early in the day that will include a giant race car display featuring the teams in competition that night. This event is extremely popular with the local fans and the media and attracts hundreds of race fans and youngsters to the dealership to meet their heroes.

This year Family Auto Center and Placerville Speedway is hoping to have a record number of teams on hand for this great event. This event will be heavily advertised in the local media by both Placerville Speedway and Family Auto Center in the coming days and attendance is expected to be bigger then ever as it welcomes the community to enjoy a day with the racers at no cost whatsoever.

Free hamburgers, hot dogs and soda will be available throughout the day in a bbq sponsored by Handy Racing Promotions, Family Auto Center, Hoosier Tires, Foothill Sign and Graphics, Windfall Classifieds and Fuzion Filmz. The live music of the popular Shauna Lea and "The Hired Guns" has been added to the venue this year for a high energy, enjoyable afternoon for race fans and families.

Nearly 200 tickets to the night's $3000 to win Tribute to Al Hinds will be given away through numerous contests by Family Center during the afternoon. Recent highlight videos of all the racing at Placerville Speedway will be presented along with contests and prizes courtesy of Windfall Classifieds Inc., one of Placerville Speedway's media partners.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. The facility can accommodate as many as 25 sprint cars for the event. Drivers, please join in this great event and make it a huge success.
