With the signing of this partnership, Placerville Speedway will now be host to the “Red Hawk Casino Championship Racing Series.”

As Placerville Speedway enters its 44th year of operation, this newly formed community partnership will bring a long awaited improvement to the quarter mile dirt track; a state of the art digital scoreboard that will operate in conjunction with the electronic scoring system already in place. Placerville Speedway is one of the few tracks operating without this costly amenity, which displays lap times, lap counts and live, positions to spectators and competitors during each event.

The Hoosier Tires Civil War Series will assault the quarter-mile this Saturday, March 21 with the Nor Cal Dwarf Cars. Saturday, March 28th the Golden State Challenge Sprint Car Series will take the green flag, along with the Capital City Midgets, which will prelude the weekly 2009 Red Hawk Casino Championship Series on Saturday, April 4th featuring four divisions of racing every Saturday at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. The new Red Hawk Casino scoreboard will be constructed and in operation in the weeks to come.
